How to Create User in Fedora/Red Hat

1. Create a user

[root@keem ~]# adduser asknadya
[root@keem ~]#

2. Create password for asknadya

[root@keem ~]# passwd asknadya
Changing password for user asknadya.
New UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully.

3. Verify

[root@keem ~]# finger asknadya
Login: asknadya                         Name: (null)
Directory: /home/asknadya               Shell: /bin/bash
Never logged in.
No mail.
No Plan.
